Plan A Jewelry Heist
Take a ring that she wears on her ring finger to a jewelry store in your area ~ they will have tools on hand to measure her size.
Make An Impression
If you're unable to borrow a ring without her knowing, try one on yourself (any finger except the thumb). Push the ring down, to a point where it's snug but not too tight, and mark the spot. Your local jeweler will be able to use this line as a reference point in determining her ring size.

When in doubt, keep in mind that it’s better to have a ring that's a bit too large on her finger than too small. You don't want the proposal to feel forced, and most rings can be easily sized resized.
