The gallery space features iconic themes such as Night and the Dark Ages, with designer looks displayed around a laboratory and ruined castle. A strapless evening dress by Alexander McQueen was inspired by an ancestors executed during the Salem Witch Trials.



Skeletons were out of the closet and on the runway Spring 2009 shows. Christian Lacroix accessorized with oversize necklaces that looked like rib cages; Alexander McQueen’s prints evoked X-ray images. Beauty truly is what’s inside…
